Toska
Conosci i tuoi vicini?

A game-event for students, with the aim of encouraging the creation of community within a university residence. Designed during a five days workshop on the theme of “social sensor,” the project involves the use of Bluetooth as a proximity sensor and contact-tracing technology.

Toska, from the Russian, spiritual anguish, is the name chosen for the game and for the imaginary residence. The claim that literally translates to “do you know your neighbours?” aims to convey the primary objective of the project, which is to generate social networks, but also to provoke “anxiety” and interest.
The game develops as a mix between a mystery episode and a survival game, set in a dystopian future inside a perfect house inhabited by automatons. It begins when a player is randomly selected to become the “mad automaton” who has the task of sabotaging the others, who will have to identify and repair him while getting to know each other
